Cars & Trains – Moon and The Earth

Cars & Trains has long been involved in the independent hip hop scene without actually making hip hop. His style of music could be described as glitchy acoustic folk. There are some similarities and influences from the likes of Fog and Radical Face but he definitely has has own unique sound. Cars & Trains involvement in the hip hop scene has been more on the web and design side of the business having worked on (among others) the Anticon website and having long run the web store for Fake Four through his record label Circle Into Square.

This new three track EP Moon and The Earth is similar to his excellent 2012 release We Are All Fire. It features little more electronic experimentation than past releases, there is a little bit of auto tune and some sounds that I suspect are circuit bent toys. Lyrically his songs are full of beautiful visual metaphors.
