The Guelph Oracle Noah 23 is back with a new album titled Light Years. It was released July 23rd and is a collaboration with producer David Klopek. Noah describes this album as abstract throwback boom bap.
After two excellent albums Rock Paper Scissors and Fly Cook on Venus followed by countless mixtapes in 2011, Noah announced his rap retirement. Luckily this was only a rap sabbatical. Since returning in early 2013 he has released a couple of albums that have a much more relaxed DIY vibe. Noah is one of the most prolific artists I follow, out side of his one year off, it seems like he has a new release every couple of months. He is able to maintain a reasonable level of quality with so many releases and also have a couple of different sound aesthetics such as his witch house series Occult Trill and his acoustic folk project Yukon Dawn. One this is for sure he’s always weird.
